RESONATING WITH THE SUN
Earth’s natural cycles bring us to profound understanding of who we are and how our lives can grow and evolve. Here, we are in the cycle of full sun, of summer. The brilliance of our guiding orb brings flowers to bloom, planets to fruition and food to bear. We feel the warmth of illumination in our lives, because the sun shines brighter, closer and longer. The sun suggests leadership, power, courage, abundance, health, joy and creativity. This is the time to let all things come into greater awareness in the truth of the light.
You can connect with this dynamic power and invite the energies of the sun to enhance and empower your business. By working with the creativity of the sun, you can find many different ways to honor and celebrate the sun’s unique properties and use those qualities to enhance our own lives. As I suggest several ways to celebrate the sun’s energy and bring those forces into your life and business, choose the one that is most compatible with your own sense of fun and well-being. When you create the environment, design or meditation for solar enhancement, remember to connect with the energies of the sun as you place the object and work with the energies.
CELEBRATING THE SUN'S GIFTS
Yellow – the color yellow is most often aligned with solar frequencies and sunflowers are the obvious choice for a sun-enhancing display. The easiest way to call forth the energies of the sun is to have sunflowers in a vase. Sunflowers and other yellow flowers bring fun, bright energies and call people to them. Place it near your cash register or by the counter to bring light, joy and sparkle. In a work environment, it is always best to decorate with flowers that do not have too much pollen or too much scent. As you place the vase, connect with the energies of the sun. Imagine the warmth, the creativity and joy that the sun brings us. Feel those energies fill you. Then place the vase in a wonderful location and watch your clients and customers enjoy their beauty. It’s a gift all the way around – for you, for your staff, for your clients and for beauty’s sake, too.

Solar energy is growing worldwide and moving into the mainstream. It’s so exciting to see that industry and individuals are bringing the light and power of the sun from the creative fringes into our lives and homes. If you own a bookstore or shop, you can celebrate the gifts of the sun by displaying books and toys that bring solar power into greater accessibility to your customers. There are so many great books on passive solar design that give easy and fun ways to implement solar designs into our everyday life. If you schedule lectures and events in your store, you may consider working with a business in your area that can give easy advice on working with the sun, either in gardens, heating, or for generating power. As you consider working with and supporting the use of solar power, imagine your connection with the sun, feel the bounty that the sun can provide and allow your inner guidance to direct you to the most beneficial use, displays or incorporation of solar energy in your store.
SUN POWER
The deeper qualities and symbolic energies of the sun provide us with inner power and the confidence to shine our own light into the world. The sun’s energies can help you expand your light and your gifts in the world. In the Tarot, the Sun represents revealing and celebrating your light, bringing your talents in the world and receiving the acknowledgement and appreciation for those gifts. It is freedom, health, joy and transformation. The Sun signifies success, imagination, innovation and achievement. Using the sun’s power is a wonderful way to open to a greater wealth (another solar attribute) in your life.
SOLAR MEDITATION
I’ve created this meditation to help you open to the gifts of the Sun and bring new energy, joy and success to your work and your life. You can do this meditation outside in the sun, sitting by a window or imagining the warmth of the sun on you.
Take a slow deep breath and allow your focus to move into a connection with the sun.
Feel the light and warmth of the sun gently caressing your skin.
Take another deep breath and imagine that the light and warmth of the sun is entering your body and filling you with gentle light, energy and clarity. Let the light move through your body and energy field and give you more energy to do what you need to do. Let the energy and power of the sun grant you the additional capacity to do what you want to do.
As you feel the energy of the sun, as you feel its warmth and energy, connect with its deeper qualities that can bring you freedom, joy, health, beauty, creativity and success. Allow those qualities to fill you and enhance you in whichever way is best for you. Do not concern yourself with what will unfold or how this new energy, creativity, or success will occur. One quality of the sun is to transmit harmony. In the light of this harmony, your gifts, your new energy and your expanded creativity will be fully in line with your true gifts and your life’s’ course.
Take another deep breath and inwardly confirm that this energy and connection with the sun is bringing you a greater sense of well-being, joy and success. Know that you will feel greater clarity and receive new opportunities for abundance and personal harmony.
