SHARE THE LOVE
Love is strong, positive feeling of deep, enduring tenderness, regard and affection. It generates, builds and sustains pure relatedness. Valentine’s Day, February 14^th, focuses on romantic love and invites lovers to celebrate their relationships through gifts, food and activities. The media and marketing focus is promoting romantic love through gifts and shopping almost as much as the winter holiday season. 

This is an opportunity to focus on love. Spiritually and vibrationally, once an energy is present, it can more easily grow and expand. Through attention and focus on love, we can increase love. We can also expand it to other contexts. In this way, we can harness the focus of romantic love and expand those vibrations to a global vision. Your store, spa, healing practice and conscious business can harness the energies of love from Valentine’s Day to help bring more universal love into our world.

FEBRUARY IS SHARE THE LOVE MONTH
Choose February as Share the Love Month and bring more love into our world. Actively celebrate and commemorate love in your store, your business and your practice for the whole month. Celebrating love’s uplifting, nurturing and healing powers. Think of love in its most subtle and profound presence. Go beyond the romantic gifts and displays and explore its global, compassionate, unifying and embracing properties.

MAKE LOVE GLOBAL
Look for items in your store that evoke universal harmony and express a multi-cultural appreciation that brings it into focus. Showcasing Tibetan, Asian, Polynesian, Native American and Celtic influences together in one display can reinforce the special relationship we each have in the world. Products that feature world peace, quantum physics and world music introduce a broader perspective. Include special incenses and candles that call in the vibrational energies of love in the display to help your customers attract and increase the qualities of world peace in their lives.

If you have a spa or healing business, you could consider combining compatible techniques from different parts of the world for a global healing experience. For example, Native American herbs for cleansing combined with Shiatsu massage while Peruvian flute music plays in the background can provide a multi-cultural healing embrace. Your intuition and inner guidance can help you create themes, displays and services to share universal love.

MAKE LOVE PERSONAL
Choose a theme and create a special store calendar that celebrates love every week of February. For example, if pets are your passion, the first week of the month can celebrate the love of animals with displays of books that relate to natural pet remedies or animal communication. The next week, engage an animal communicator to give a talk in your store. You could also have a special weekend in which the animal communicator gives readings for your customers’ pets. The following week, provide organic pet treats for your furry or feathered customers. Then complete the month with a contribution campaign that donates a portion of all proceeds for that week as well as customer donations to your local animal shelter.

Perhaps you adore plants. Your theme would center around plants, growing and nature. The first week, your Share the Love Month calendar could feature special prices on all books about herbal healing. Invite someone to speak about flower essences during the second week and display your selection of flower essences. Spotlight indoor healing plants the third week and present a local horticulturist or organic grower to speak on that topic. Complete your month with a focus on essential oils and aroma-therapy. Create luscious displays of flowers, aroma-therapy oils and burners, candles and books to celebrate plants and their gifts of love and healing for us.

MAKE LOVE REAL
Expressing love and appreciation, makes love real and brings it further and deeper in our lives. Create a “Share the Love” column in your store newsletter and invite your clients and customers to send you short notes about their experiences of love and acts of kindness. Ask them to send you their heart-warming and life-affirming experiences for inclusion in your newsletter. Naturally, you will edit them as need be. Include their “love notes” in your special newsletter column for the month of February.

Expand the love even further. You can create a remarkable display and post your customers’ “love notes” in your store. Set up a large cork board in your store, along with paper, pens and plenty of colored note paper. Invite your customers to share their experiences of random acts of kindness and post them on the “Share the Love” board. Include the notes sent from your newsletter and extend the invitation for everyone to come to the store and read all of the letters that could not be included. If you don’t have a newsletter yet, this is the perfect opportunity to start one.

Place books, music and meditation CD’s about universal love and harmony and include lots of Rose Quartz crystals near the “Share the Love” board. Introduce moonstone jewelry, intentional candles and other beautiful gift items next to the cork board to encourage your clients to fondly remember those who have brought more love into their lives. If you have a spa, healing or counseling practice, the “Share the Love” board can express the changes and growth your clients have experienced in their healing and regeneration.

GENERATING LOVE IN THE WORLD
The “Share the Love” board can be the focal point of so much love, that your customers come to the store to read the love notes for inspiration and renewal. Create a Love Fest! It can be a community event. Advertise in your local newspapers and invite your whole community to come to your store and post their loving experiences on your “Share the Love” board. Invite them to join this wonderful expression of love in the world.

Your store or business can become “Love Fest” central. Choose an evening each week and invite your customers and the general public to attend a reading of the notes from your board. Contact your local radio station and ask them to read some of them on their program for the month, while they invite people to attend your love fest. Make it an event. Invite the local schools to participate and create posters for the celebration.  Frame the posters, sell them in your store and donate part of the profits back to the school.  Create displays all over your store that focus on a global love view including love for our planet, for nature and the environment. Give away wonderful gifts and have free drawings to share the love and inspiration from this experience. Get the local radio and television stations involved. Ask them to show the images of the posters or participate in a live feed of your event.

We are here to expand our dreams and to create vision, beauty and appreciation for life. Let’s transform Valentines day from the domain of romance with pink and red heart decorations into a month of universal celebration. Let’s declare that February is now, share the love month. When we bring love out, into our communities and into the world we generate the love we envision. We become part of the love, peace and healing in our world. I just love that!
